Zeitguised - Amino Assets
February 14th, 2008Zeitguised keepin’ it boolean with another Funkstörung collaboration, “Amino Assets”:
Looks like they’re projecting 2D elements onto 3D shapes tweaked with booleans, though some of the 3D shapes appear to be merely masks for 2D comps. The cameras are orthogonal, or at least super-telephoto, and the camera moves are nearly all perpendicular to the picture plane.
In a few shots with minimal camera rotation, objects like the piggy bank appear to be a clever arrangement of planes, again suggesting faux 3D à la After Effects. Then there’s the color-bounce on the floor — a clue or more crafty German tricknology?
